MAYKESTAG has its own state-of-the-art high-tech coating line, which gives the company control over the entire manufacturing process.
On-site coating
MAYKESTAG uses ALUNIT® for coating - nothing can compete with this ultra-hard coating. With approx. 3600 HV, it is not only significantly harder than typical PVD coatings. It is also suited to temperatures of up to 900°C
The advantages of our ALUNIT® coating:
- Increased endurance
- lower cutting forces
- higher cutting speeds and feeds
- improved surface quality
The properties of the ALUNIT® coating:
- high temperature resistance up to 900 °C
- High heat insulation: The heat produced when cutting is for the most part discharged with the shavings
- The highest surface hardness of 3600 HV, and thus the highest resistance against wear Ultra-smooth surface
- which decreases the friction coefficient (coating roughness of 0,002 µm)
